I agree that this is useful, and I rely on it all the time with rsync. You can get similar behavior with rdiff-backup --compare, at least for a dry run before making a new increment. --Chris 09:00, 23 July 2007 (EST)
I would love to see this feature. I was quite surprised to learn it was missing! There are often somewhat complicated sets of options I'd like to try out first. --shuckins,

Ditto, I typically do a dry run first when using --del with rsync but when setting up rdiff-backup scripts it'd be nice to have this option.
